As we approach the warmer months, we must be mindful of how our tresses will be impacted. Typically, our hair undergoes additional stress in the warmer months, if we are not careful. The additional stress to our hair occurs for the following reasons:

1. Be willing to change your hair style to one that requires less maintenance during the summer months. Try braids, twists, the trendy ponytail or chignon or your hair in its natural state; kinky, curly, wavy or styled in an afro or afro puffs.
2. Be willing to give your tresses a rest, find a carefree style that you can wear for the weekend, like a ponytail or your hair simply combed back. Give yourself a good hot oil treatment and lavish your hair with a rich leave-in conditioner and moisturizer for the entire weekend, this will allow your hair to be rested and nourished, simultaneously.
